Ttc#1 AF shown. Feeling frustrated

Ttc #1 for the past 6 months. Me and my husband are 40 now. tracking ovulation using opk and BD every cycle but nothing works. Feeling frustrated... Should we give up ?My husband started to say that since we are in 40s chances of conception is very less... when I started ttc I was confident and I never thought about my age.... but now I am also loosing hope. I really don’t know what to do... my mind is not accepting a life without kids...
