Pregnant at a dangerous job...

Ch

After 7 months of trying I just got a bfp!!!

I had a moment of celebration then reality set in......

I have a 10 month old son that I am pumping for and so freaked out I’m going to lose my supply!!

Also first on the list of things I’m freaking the f*** out about is my job.

I work at a group home with teenage boys in foster care.

They can be extremely aggressive towards each other and towards staff.

I constantly, like every other shift, am breaking up fights.

They have also punched/kicked/came after with weapons to many of my coworkers.

Aside from the physical danger I think seeing someone pregnant could possibly make them feel some sort of way since many were neglected or given up by their moms.

On a typical shift it’s two staff to 6 kids, but if one kid has an appointment or anything I am constantly being left with 5 kids. These shifts are 7-12 hours.

There’s no backup, no cameras. Just “if something happens call 911” or “put them in a hold.”

It’s a house in a normal neighborhood but a high crime city so the police aren’t the quickest.

I can’t quit because I need money.

Can I go on disability once I start to show?

Any advice is appreciated!!!
