Could I have been ovulating?

Sara

So I just started birth control three weeks ago. I am on lo lo estrin. Right now where I’m at in my life if I get pregnant, I get pregnant but if I don’t I’m okay with that too. I started birth control because I was recently single and starting to have sex again. I’ve been having sex with the same person for three months now. Ideally I would like to not get pregnant due to a surgery I’m having this summer, but if I do there’s not much I can do about it. Well this guy I have been seeing wanted to cum in me; which I’m fine with. I work in OBGYN and he is in the military and we’ve both been tested and I’ve been tested since seeing him. Long story short... I like being on top. But for some reason being on top this time really hurt. It was actually painful. He said he kept touching something and wasn’t sure what it was. I’m 100% sure he was touching my cervix. I haven’t had sex really hurt on top in a while, do you think there’s a chance I might’ve been ovulating? I don’t do self checks to see if I’m ovulating. I’m not comfortable sticking my hand up my vagina lol. I know some of you are but I just can’t. So anyways, question is... do you think I was ovulating if it hurt and he could feel it? He’s never felt it before.
