How young is too young?

How young is too young to get your tubes tied permanently? 
Little back story- I will be 24 this year and I am pregnant with my second child. I am married And currently in school.
My hubby will be 26 this year and we are on the same page. We both will get our baby making organs snip.
This pregnancy was unexpected as I was on birth control. 🤧(yeah for science) 
I want to get my tubes tied because I honestly don’t know if I want more kids, but being so young I don’t want to have regrets later😩
Anyone been in this situation before?

Idk about the age but I’d say YOU definitely shouldn’t do it because you specifically said you don’t know if you want to have more kids

Regardless of your age . If you are having doubts do not do it . It is so much easier for your husband to have his vasectomy reversed not to mention women have way more negative side effects with tubals . My husband and I are done after this baby and I refuse to get my tubes tied because of the side effects. So my husband is getting a vasectomy and I am getting the mirena . Also recovery from a vasectomy for a man is so much easier (unless you are already having a c section) . Either way if you are unsure don’t do it !

I wouldn’t since you said you’re not sure. Plus, a lot of doctors won’t do it because if age unfortunately. Yes it’s dumb but lots of people change their mind and it’s surgery with recovery time.

I personally think it’s too young. You said you “don’t know” if you want more kids... I think you answered your own question honestly. Just wait. Be more careful. Maybe give it a few more years and then decide.

I'm 37+1 right now with our suprise baby. My hubby and I were done after 2. I'm 31 hubby is 32 and we are both on the same page not wanting any more babies so I'm getting my tubes tied after this one. 
I would just make sure like absolutely sure you yourself dont want anymore. Yes everything can be reversed but its not 100%. And your still young yet. Theres always birth control but wont prevent pregnancy all the way. Maybe talk to your doc and hubby more.

A tubal is now just a couple small cuts. It is reversible but that costs money of course. Unfortunately they put 'rules' on when you can tie your tubes but I think you fit the bracket.

I wanted to tie my tubes after my second and my doctor refused.  That baby is 14 now and I’m so so happy that doctor refused as I’m happily pregnant with my third now.  Up until 6 months ago, I still wanted my tubes tied!  I never imagined I’d change my mind.

If he's willing to get a vasectomy, why would you do your tubes? V is significantly less invasive and less risky. Tubal ligation is a more significant surgery and comes with risks of irregular/heavy periods and can trigger early menopause or hormonal imbalances. (it's rare but can happen). I had mine done 10 months ago and my periods are now irregular and my cramps are worse. But I'm 39 and had a very risky 4th birth and c section. I'm not too far from menopause anyway, but if I were younger and my husband was willing to get a vasectomy, I personally wouldn't do it.

Honestly most doctors won’t tie tubes at the age(it’s ridiculous). Plus that’s a major surgery. Your hubby should just get it done as it is a out patient surgery.
