How close are you to your mother-in-law?

I know the general consensus in every movie that involves a marriage is that in-law suck! My sister & her ex-MIL never ever got along. But me & my MIL talk, I just don’t know much about her. 
What’s your experience with your MIL?

My mil was fine with me for the 6.5 years that I dated my husband. The day after our wedding she cornered me to complain about the wedding. It all went down hill at that point. Haven't spoken to her since August when her and my husband were fighting in front of my toddler (while I was 35 weeks pregnant and high risk). I asked they stopped or I could leave with my son and she decided to leave. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But my husband followed her outside and that's when she started talking shit about me family and I.  Jealousy is an evil bitch, but the moment you cross the line by talking about my family it's game over. I since has my daughter which she has never met.  Nor do I see it happening since she flipped a shit on my husband and my husband is basically over it.

Mines a psychopath, I dealt with and kinda got along for the first 9 years I was with my husband. Although me and him knew she was not a good person to be around ( I felt bad for my husband because he dealt with her his whole life). At about 9 years of being together she did something unforgivable to my husband and I. He called her and said she is out of his life for good and to never contact him again. I actually had no idea he did this, until she texted me saying a bunch of horrible things and saying I turned him against her. I was shocked, it’s been 3 years since we have had any contact with her and it was one of the best decisions he has ever made. Once we were away from her and could clearly look back we realized how much abuse from her we took and didn’t actually have to. I actually don’t even consider her my mother in law and he doesn’t consider her his mother anymore. But I am very close to his grandma and she really is the one that raised him for a good amount of his childhood. I kinda see her more as a mother in law and she is like a mother to us. On Mother’s Day she is the one we take out and get gifts for because she deserves it and is the greatest mother in law.

We had to stop having contact with my husbands parents. They are very toxic people. My SIL doesn’t even have much a relationship with them either. However, my husband is very close to my parents :)

She has 3 sons and my husband is the only married one. So I’m her daughter and she’s my 2nd mom. She treats me better then her sons haha my sister and her mil also get along pretty well! Not as great anymore now that her first grandchild is 2. She watches her once a week and does whatever she wants and buys her a bunch of crap she doesn’t need! So we’ll see how it goes once a baby comes but I’m hoping it’ll be just as nice!

I absolutely adore my in-law family. My MIL is amazing and I have the best relationship with my SIL. After my own mother passed away, my MIL stepped in and has become my 2nd mom. I am so thankful to have such great in-laws 😁
