My boss told me today that baby can come to work with me for the first year (after that they get a bit more difficult to entertain) so I can nurse when need be and baby can build up an immune system before having to go to daycare. I was beyond thrilled they offered this because if given the choice, I wouldn’t even go back to work for the first year.

My SO is all like “I don’t see how that would work at your job”

He has literally never been to my job once to understand how it goes there! So I told him my coworker did it with her son several years ago and it worked out just fine. Everyone there loves babies and lends a hand.

I got a “We’ll see”

He’d rather baby go to daycare which not only costs a small fortune, but then I have to take pump breaks instead of nursing baby directly, AND baby would be raised by total strangers 🙄 I don’t get how THAT is a better option than what my bosses gave me !
