Do doctors do this sometimes? Or will they if this scenario happens?

Question

After an ultrasound and the results are sent to the doctor later the same day and the doctor sees something concerning will they and or can they make an appointment for you? The appointment scheduled to be 1-2 days after the ultrasound the doctor reviewed? But the appointment being without your knowledge, you just get a call telling you that you have an appointment scheduled with the doctor.

If they see something abnormal you will most likely receive a call. They might ASK you to come in at your earliest convenience, but they won’t just tell you to come to a mystery appointment  you never made.

Mine have always been reviewed by the fetal radiology specialist and finalized by my doctor. I get a message in the patient portal with the breakdown if everything is fine. If it's not fine, I get a phone call, usually the next day, to discuss.

My cousins ultrasounds were always reviewed by a dr with an appointment followed a few days later like clock work. I havent had my first ultrasound yet to know 😂
