Alumentum and Elecare?

Anyone else dealing with blood in babies stool due to allergy? I’m breastfeeding and doing alumentum formula supplementation, every day is a rollercoaster, one day he’s great the next not...I’m a first time mom who would love to hear others experiences, I’m so jealous of women who can just breastfeed and not have to alter their diet 😭

I give baby formula. About once a month I see  right red flecks of blood in her poop. Doctor says anal fissure. If poop comes or black or is mixed in with poop it could be infection or allergy.

We use Nutramigen formula and it works well for my 9 week old son for the blood we had saw in his stool. We were on Elecare for about a week with him and it was awful for him. It’s a very thin consistency and he would spit up, choke and gag on it like crazy. One night he chokes so bad we almost considered bolting our the door to the hospital

I suspect my son has a cows milk protein allergy or intolerance. When I consume any dairy products he gets mucousy, at times red blood specked poos. He also gets a rash and bad nappy rash/burn, with frequent 7-8 poos a day. As long as I remain dairy (and egg) free he has a normal yellow, once a day poos with no mucous and no nappy rash.
