Does baby heartbeat have a relationship to gender of baby?

Although my pregnancy is pretty early (8wks2dys) I was able to hear the heartbeat at the doctor today and the baby heartbeat was 162. I've heard if its 150 or more its a girl? How true do yu deem this to be? What are your experiences with heartbeat to gender?

It’s 50% possible to be true just as any other old wives tale related to gender. Both of my sons were in the 180s.

When it comes to gender, I say you just won’t know until you know. It’s fun to guess, but never take things like heart rate seriously. My baby has had a high heart rate and had all the signs pointing to girl, but I’m having a boy.

No i don’t think so.
My first girl was consistently 140s the whole time.
My son and last daughter were bouncing all around as low as 128 and as high as 170. It was never consistent. I thought for sure my last girl was a boy just bc she was like her brothers heart rate.
