Has anyone hand expressed colostrum antenataly?

My midwife said its a good idea to do it a few days before my c section (4 days) and bring some stored colostrum with me, just in case I end up being separated from baby for whatever reason or if baby struggles to latch so thereby avoiding formula.

She mentioned that as labour hasn't / won't start naturally it can affect supply, so another good reason why harvesting some now and giving it a try in advance, rather than trying in the hospital and running in to problems.

Sounds like a good idea. I've been given some little syringes and been reading on line about how to hand express and collect it, but just wondered if any real life people had any insight for me! Thanks xx
