What are some of your successful solutions for fighting?

I’m a mom of four, and ages 9, 8, 3, 1.
My 9 and 8 year old are to the point that they fight constantly. CONSTANTLY. I typically separate them, but it’s such an insane hassle because no one wants to go to their room - especially when they feel like they’ve been wronged and are not to blame. And since they honestly will fight over AIR they are going to their room A LOT. 
So, what are your solutions? Have they been successful?

I don’t play! They have NO SAY SO in what I chose their discipline is. The fact that they fight you on it shows they don’t respect you. I put the fear of God in them. I get in the face & talk very clear & slow. I scare the shit out of them. Lol... I’ll be damned if my kids talk back when I’m telling them what to do. They lose privileges & so much more. Like my 5 yr old isn’t going to a family party tomorrow because he’s misbehaving at school.

Standing in the corner. I hated it as a kid and my kids hate it too. Take away toys, electronics, upcoming activities, tv etc. and Too bad if they don’t wanna go to their room, you make the rules. Not them. If that’s what you tell them to do they need to do it. Put your foot down.
