Best breast pump?

Hi. I’m looking at getting an electric double breast pump. Any recommendations? At the top of the list for me is the Medela Sonata Double Electric breast pump. Pros? Cons? (I live in Canada so certain pumps such as the Spectra from the states I can’t get through amazon Canada.)

And is it also better to get breast pump before baby born or afterwards to see if you needed one. The Medela Sonata cost about $600 and will be covered under our work benefits but if I don’t end up using it, it would be such a waste of money and that money could have been used for something else.
