Baby latching

My little girl is 10 days old and sometimes she latches straight away, other times it takes a good 5 min of fussing and changing positions until she’s on. Night time feeds are the worst but it happens during the day too.

I haven’t been out with her yet, reason being I don’t want people to stare when they see a mother struggling to latch her baby on to her breast. She has a loud pair of lungs on her when she fusses to.

Any suggestions? Or is this normal!
