Baby shower at your own house, trashy or no?

So my husband and I own our own house and we have a big yard that we put a lot of money and hard work into last year. And I’ll be having my baby shower in July- I just worry that having the baby shower at my own house might be odd and people will think it’s trashy. I really don’t want to be 8 months pregnant hauling gifts to and from the car in and out of houses. Plus I really want to show off our yard, we are really proud of it. I was thinking a nice backyard barbecue would be nice, but my MIL and SIL have said some snide things about it. What’s your thoughts?
