Husband’s best friend..
Long story short, right from the start of my husbands and I relationship I could tell his best friend didn’t like me. And he continues to clearly show it.
His best friend has a girlfriend. And in the past a couple months ago had sent a picture of his girlfriend in a bra after they had sex to my husband. Was upset but didn’t make it into a big deal just let it go. Then back in December he sent a picture of this girls tits as a “joke” to my husband. When I saw it of course I was pissed like wtf would you send that to your married friend? I told my husband I didn’t appreciate him sending all this stuff all the time, it’s immature and you’re married.
So then my husband told him to stop sending that kind of stuff and his friend freaked out and blew it all out of proportion. Saying like “really bro your gonna choose her over me we’ve been family since we were like 4 blah blah blah. She’s so controlling and crazy. Watch who’s gonna be there for you in a couple years.” And he felt the need to tell everyone in the rest of the friend group. So every since then he brings it up or drops little comments about me or my husband being “whipped”. Just last night he said basically said my husband was gonna cheat on me he said “**** is gonna get tail at work”
I’ve asked my husband many times to stick up for us and for me, and tell him to shut up and put him in place and he won’t. He just says “people are always gonna talk”
They only will if you let them.
Any advice on what to do?
- Could just ignore it and keep taking the comments
- Stick up for myself since my husband won’t and confront him.
My fathers advice was to just wait it out and only step in if he says something about me that crosses the line.. like calls me a “B!tch...etc”
************UPDATE************
Talked to my husband one last time, I said next time he says something you better stick up for me and if you don’t I will and I’m not gonna be nice. He said he would but if he doesn’t I will not hesitate enough is enough.
