Airbnb

Have you made a reservation and the host confirmed it but wanted to charge more? So I was already charged and everything went through. Now the host wants to charge more out of no where? So like you can accept or decline it. So before I could do anything the host actually texts me instead of continuing the conversation on the app. The host is basically giving me the run around and saying how they made a mistake. That they need to charge more. Which doesn’t make sense and seems sketchy. So I continue the conversation on the app and just request for it to be cancelled. Because at this point I’m feeling uncomfortable. Then the host keeps lying saying it was cancelled when it clearly wasn’t. Then they are like I didn’t cancel because I will get charged $7. So I have reached out to Airbnb and let them know how I feel. So I’m waiting to hear back. I declined the additional charge. Should I suck it up and just go to the place? Or just look elsewhere once I can get a response from air bnb? I just feel like host is playing games.

I have stayed at other places and never had this happen before.
