Husband resents baby...
My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for a year and a half. Finally last May we got pregnant with a little girl. We were both ecstatic through pregnancy and he was nothing but supportive. Now our baby girl is 7 weeks old and he seems to be resenting her. He is helpful with diaper changes, feeding and even gets up some nights with her. But she is a bit colicky and cries for several hours in the evenings (usually 6-10pm). My hubby gets so frustrated with her that he even called her a “retard” one time. Often when she is upset he says “yeah, I would never have another baby”. He says hurtful things when he gets upset. He has made comments that indicate he wishes we didn’t have her. It hurts my heart so much. Yes, the colicky times can be difficult but i feel like it’s just a difficult phase (like many we will probably go through). I’m not sure what to do, I tried talking to him and he got defensive. Advise?
