Crying baby

My baby seems to cry every time we go to family parties... I never get to enjoy them or spend time with them cause all he does is cry the whole time. I mean it doesn't bother me but I can never get him to stop I try feeding him I change his diaper & always try putting him to sleep but he just won't stop I also burp him..
