Is it too much to ask for a vegan baby shower?

I really wanna have all the food at my baby shower vegan. Some family is throwing it for me. I just don't know if that's too much to ask for, its really important to me though.

I think it would be easier to say, “I would love for all of the food to be vegan but if that’s too much, I at least ask for a few dishes to be vegan so I will be able to eat, too.” Then maybe suggest a few easy options whether it be dishes or catering depending on what they’re doing. That way you are more helpful and won’t feel pushy. Plus, you’ll have a little influence and work get stuck eating anything yucky.

I think they should respect your eating preferences and you should respect theirs.
By that, I mean that there should be foods available for everyone's diets.
In my family, we have a vegan, a couple of vegetarians, and omnivores. When we eat as a group, we have options everyone can eat but don't limit all food to the most restrictive diet.

I think that it’s your baby shower so if you want vegan food then you should have vegan food. Maybe it would be helpful to offer some recipes or catering options. 
If other people must have meat/ dairy etc, then they can have it on their way home from the shower.

Everyone who knows me well enough knows that I’m vegan. My cousin even had vegan cupcakes at her wedding for me! It’s your baby shower, it better be all vegan!! Like that shouldn’t even be a concern.

I also wanna add, if your family is planning it for you they obviously know to have something for you to eat since you’re a vegan. 
My mom and sister planned my shower and since I’m a vegetarian, of course there were dishes for me lol

I agree with the others. Request a few vegan dishes for yourself to eat and others if they chose, but I think there should be other options for non vegans.
