Night (formula) feeding

Me

I feel like night feedings are so tough when I am juggling formula powder and measurement - and all in the middle of the night with lights low, trying to maintain a ‘bedtime’ atmosphere. I think living in a house with the kitchen downstairs makes it difficult too. Anyone else in a similar setup with advice on how to better balance feedings without waking up the whole house (sleeping preschooler and husband) and getting baby fed and back to sleep? Thanks!

I pre fill 4 bottles with water and put them on my dresser. I pre measure the formula and put it in little containers I got on amazon. All I do is dump and shake. Much easier than measuring each time.

Put water in 2-4 bottles and bring them upstairs with the can of formula, and add the scoops of formula as needed

Get a thermos and put perfect temperature water in. Get a formula dispenser with the correct amount of scoops in. At night add water, add powder and mix. Done!

Get a formula dispenser. Premeasure water into bottles and formula into the dispenser, open, pour, shake👌 Great for going out too. I had these with my first and the separator is removal so they can be used as snack ups too.

Get a formula container off amazon. I have one and it holds 3 feedings. Put the water in the bottles before you got to bed and mix it when you need it.

I bought the baby Brezza formula dispenser. It’s expensive, but so with it. Makes a bottle in 10 seconds. I also bring up premeasured bottles of water and formula containers in case I don’t feel like walking downstairs.

I premake bottles and put them in a cooler in my bedroom with a bunch of ice packs. When she gets up I just grab it from the cooler and give it to her. Luckily our little one likes cold bottles so we don't have to worry about warming them up.

We premake bottles before we go to bed and stick them in the fridge and then just warm them in the bottle warmer 🤷🏼‍♀️ Like the others said, just prefill your bottles with water — that’s really the only measuring you need to do since the rest is just scooping

Honestly girl it's not that hard. Just take a deep breath and go about what you're doing, it does make it "harder" because you're tired. Keep baby in bed, if you're using a 4oz bottle they should give you a scoop and measurements on how much. Similac is all I use it required 2 scoops. 8oz bottle 4. And fill with water. Shake. Grab baby and feed him or her. Once done, put baby to bed and go back to bed yourself.
