APRIL MOMMAS I NEED HELP

So I'm a ftm mom and I have no idea what contractions are suppose to feel like?!?!? I have been having "cramps" for over a month now which I've assumed are BH and that's what the doc said too but since last night I've had this different kind of "pain" in my lower stomach and occasionally my back will hurt with it too.... I'm due April 2nd so it's not too unusual if I am experiencing contractions but still I need help from the experienced moms out there!!
