To the mamas who have already given birth...

Did you receive a growth ultrasound prior to given birth and informed on what baby was measuring? If so how close was that ultrasound to baby’s actually birth weight?

I am 40w2d and have not been given a growth ultrasound at my doctors office, I asked the midwife yesterday about how big she thought he was measuring and she felt my belly with his hands and said “he’s about a 7 pounder.”

A good friend of mine is a sonographer and wanted to scan my 40 week belly so of course I said yes since the doctor hasn’t given me one. She measured him twice and results were 9lb14oz and 10lb1oz. 😮😮

I know ultrasounds can be off so I was curious as to what experiences other mamas have actually been through. TIA!
