Doctor visit findings

So I went to the doctor today and I knew I was running some blood tests for some other issues but in the process, my doctor discovered a heart murmur. He did get a second opinion from his partner who has experience in cardiology and they both agreed that I needed to get an echocardiogram (being scheduled) to evaluate what type and the severity of it. I’m only 21 years old and my mother,grandfather, and great grandmother has/had one. Both doctor think i have had it my entire life and They told me that they think it is nothing to really worry about but just to monitor. What are some of your guys’ experience or advice? Right now I’m still pretty upset about it but I know that they can’t tell me anything until they see the echocardiogram.
