Should social media influencers be called out when they promote “scams”?

The other day we had a discussion about how people comment they’re “ unfollowing” under a specific social media influencers or celebrities posts. And if it is appropriate to do so.

We also had a discussion on if it’s our duty to respond to or stand against harmful posts etc.

That being said, when it comes to scammers that pay social media influencers to promote their business, like the famous “turn 100-1000 with green dot” or “flat tummy tea” or even now I’ve been seeing people promote “credit repair services” ,( a lot of which are gathering peoples private information under the guise of clearing credit debt, and receiving an upfront payment to do so) , be called out on helping to “scam” their fans?

Also, maybe I’m crazy, but I see it more with p.o.c demographics than I do with other influencers. Almost as if the “scam artists” are targeting a specific audience (Correct me if I’m wrong about that last bit it’s more anecdotal than anything)

( I post and deleted this because I couldn’t edit was within a minute of my post but thought I’d add it Incase)
