Postpartum meals and snacks?

It seems like a large majority of you have had your babies. I am trying to make my weekly grocery list. I am assuming baby will come soon, and I want to make sure I have quick, easy things to eat and snack on. What have you guys been eating?

A huge box of shelf-stable protein shakes was my go-to, to keep near the bed and have at night when I’m randomly hungry. Or Ensure could work too. Lactation cookies were awesome too if you have anyone who makes em or want to order some (there’s an amazing company on Etsy called liquid gold I think).

Belvita and Chewy bars, all kinds of fruit cups, capri sun, gatorade, applesauce- anything sugary with at least a little nutritional value 😂 Honestly I caved and bought a little mini fridge for beside my bed. I can keep his extra milk on hand there and stuff my snacks in too. Breastfeeding makes you hungry, and having a newborn is exhausting so I don't really leave my room much- the mini fridge is more convenient than disturbing or leaving baby for trips to and from the kitchen.

Chewy granola bars and applesauce pouches. I keep them right next to the nursing chair, easy to eat one handed in the dark 👍

I’ve been drinking yogurt smoothies in the middle of the night to get some calories in (making breast milk makes you really hungry). I bought premade ones at Trader Joe’s.
