Dysfunction of the belch reflex

So basically, I can't burp...ever. It's always been my normal and I thought I was just weird. I suffer from a lot of pain between my ribs and in my chest which doctors have always dismissed and given me antiacids for claiming that I probably have peptic ulcers. So I decided to do some research about how I can't burp and realized that all of that trapped air and gases that I can't burp up are probably the cause of my symptoms. Anyone else suffer with this?? I've never actually talked to or met anyone else with it.
