Meet Thomas

Beccarah

Our little Thomas made his way into the world yesterday via Caesarean section due to GDM, slowly worsening pre eclampsia and IUGR. Born at 35+5, weight 2300grams, head 34cm and length is 43cm. He’s currently in special care due to issues with his sugars and temperature. He has a glucose drip running which they are in the process of weaning down and also weaning down the temp of the incubator. The paediatrician came and saw me this morning and said he’s done great overnight, he’s very alert and loves staring at everyone, weeing and pooing great, and has no breathing issues. This dairy cow is going great and expressing plenty and Tom may not even need formula if I keep pumping the way I am. Day 2 of a premmie and just pumped 15.4mls of colostrum. Winning! Finally something has been easy for me!!
