When is it too soon to look a childcare centres

I’m 13 weeks 3 days a friend of mine has told me to start looking now due to long waiting lists, I know myself I work in childcare some places have a years waiting list. I’m due in sept I’m 9 months off, so will be going back the end of June next year. My friends baby is a couple months old she put him on a waiting list along Time before he was born, his paperwork was only recently done. To me is does feel a little early to start but I do see my friends point it could take a year before a spot opens & I want to be able to put him in the centre I want & not after compromise for something I’m not a 100% comfortable with. What’s your advice? Anyone who has been or is going through this would be much appreciated thank you.
