Advice on heavy flow?

I know this is gross but I am having an extremely heavy and painful flow this cycle (nothing new to me) but I’m unable to use the toilet without blood literally getting everywhere in the bathroom. I can’t lay on my back in bed or it’ll soak right through everything. I have to change it every half hour to an hour because of the heaviness of it. Does anyone know what I can do to be more comfortable during this? I feel like I can’t move or else I’m going to bleed everywhere even with a pad on.
