Post partum bleeding

I’m 12 days PP after a vaginal delivery with a few stitches. I keep getting gushes of bright red blood randomly, it is not filling a pad. Last night I passed a golf ball sized clot... I called my doctor and she says it’s normal. My pelvis is really sore and everything feels swollen like it’s going to fall out when I walk... I sometimes feel like my doctor ignores my concerns so I am asking Is this normal? Have any other moms experienced this? Thanks in advance. 🙂
