Hello everyone, I’m having a hard time coping with the fact that my boyfriend cheated on me. I know I may be dumb for still staying but I truly love him. Any advice on how we can repair this relationship? Any advice will help.

Personally I have a zero tolerance policy for cheating. Its not a “mistake” or an “accident”, they chose to secretly talk to someone else and then stick their dick in them (or touch them, whatever). That level of disgust is unforgivable. The ultimate act of disrespect to someone. I hope you learn to know your worth.

I think it depends on the context of “cheating”.... my now fiancé messaged a girl one time when we were having a rough patch and it ate away at me for months and months until he proved himself that he would never do it again. It took a long time and I’m still a little paranoid and check his phone sometimes (been good so far thank goodness lol) and get a little guardful of him around other people... It takes time, patience, and real attempts to rebuild trust. You also have to let go of it and not hold it against him forever, which is the part I’m struggling with currently. But physical cheating ..... idk if I could EVER ever move forward from that. So I can’t offer too much advice there sorry chick.

That's a crappy situation but it's not gonna work if you both are not on the same page. I think you bith need to have a serious chat and if you both cant cone to terms, clear the air then you need to tell him ok, I deserve a decent partner and im leaving.

My now husband cheated on me numerous times when we were just dating and i found out when we were already living together. I did leave for a while but we kept talking as we had a daughter together. I decided to forgive him and went back home to him. But i disnt just say i would forgive him and brought it up or fought about it or even thought about it. And after that he completely changed and stopped going out with friends without me and included me more i guess u could say. We got pregnant again and he has dedicated his entire life to his family and everything we do if for each other and our children we have now been together for 11 yrs married for 7 and i can honestly say forgiving and forgetting was the best choice i made for myself, our relationship, and our now 4 children and 1 on the way. My advice here to you is if u really mean it when u say u want to forgive him then do it and stop thinking about what he did and focus on all the good not on the negative thing he did. Is he doing anything to help? You can’t go back to the same broken relationship. You guys have to tear it all down and rebuild a new stronger foundation.
