Mother’s Day!☀️

Mother’s Day falls on May 12th this year. Some beautiful ladies will have had their very first babies by the time Mother’s Day comes but obviously some will still be pregnant (that might be me or not idk my due date is May 15th).

This is my very first pregnancy, so this morning my mom called me and asked if my husband or I had any plans for me on Mother’s Day, and I said well it depends if I have had the baby by then, that will determine if I will do anything because I don’t know if I will be a mom yet.

She responded with even if you haven’t had the baby yet you are still a mother. You will have carried this baby for 9 long months and in between those months you have been making decisions a mother would make to benefit her baby, feeling the love for him that a mother has for her baby, you have been feeding him through your body, and worrying about his every move inside of you making sure he’s moving just enough and everything is normal.

When she said that it really opened my eyes, I had never thought about it like that. So I then became curious on what other people think and what their point of view is.

When would you consider a woman to be a mother? When she’s pregnant or after baby is born?
