Real talk: how do you want to be supported?

I'm sick and tired of being told how to live my life or being given advice without asking for it. Getting unsolicited advice. Always getting comments like

*"you won't get sleep after the baby is born!"(I know that already. I know that. Please stop. It's ruining that experience) *"Dont eat for two or you'll never lose the weight."(now that's all I think about when I eat)

*"How much weight have you gained? You know running helps"(I am pregnant but if I wasnt boy I'd feel fat hearing that..)

*"your eating that again ? Why dont you get something healthy"(maybe this is the first time in months I've eaten this, maybe its all I can manage to keep down.) *"babies hold you back from a career and money. So wait to have them" (I have one degree and am working on another but goodness forbid I have faith I can still do it with a baby)

*"your married why aren't you having kids yet?" (Cause it's a choice?)

*"I didnt have kids because I wanted to have an extra income but you can do what you want" (good for you)

after a while, I begin to set mental boundaries in my head. Will I even graduate? Will i even have money? Will i stay fat forever? Am I that fat? Did I make a mistake?

I get why they are giving me this advice. Its harmless when you isolate it. But when every one is constantly giving you advice and pressuring you into thinking there is only 1 way to live.. you get, confused. We just need to support each other sometimes instead of offering advice. On the rare occasion that I get a "I know it can be hard but your doing great!" I cry. I mean I just bawl because unsolicited advice can just break you sometimes. I just wanna be a good mom.

Again, I get why they are giving the advice. Sometimes it's okay and it can help. But sometimes it can be more destructive.
