Let Me Know If You Can Relate

So I’ve heard many stories of parents who were there for their kids through the whole sexuality thing and gave “the talk” and some that even bought their kids sex toys, but this post is for those of you that grew up with parents who never did any of this shit. For the record I never received said “talk” nope not from school, nada. You know what I did? In 6th grade I used the internet to find out.

I want to let all of you who are suffering with this issue that you aren’t alone and there are girls everywhere with this issue. My mom never explained anything to me and is completely against anything and everything sexual, she sees sex as something that’s robbed from women and a complete chore. I had to learn everything on my own.

I discovered masturbation around 11 from reading an internet article and felt guilty for years. She told me porn was disgusting and vile. I had to ask for my first bra. No one told me what periods were. To this day she still has no idea I masturbate or have any knowledge of my own sexuality. Sometimes I think god forbid I was gay id be done for. Although I will admit I maybe bicurious but of course I could never tell her. I even asked if I could take birth control to reduce my heavy periods and acne and she flat out said no.

So from all this I’ve gathered that when I have children and have a girl I will make sure she has everything she needs, education, bras that fit, privacy, and whatever toys or anything she feels she’s ready for that will aid in her own self love, bc forcing a child to learn sex Ed through the internet is damaging. For all the girls out there who didn’t get adequate sex Ed from their parents, who feel lost in their own bodies, I’m here I understand, my dms are open. Masturbation is healthy. Porn is fine once you’re mentally ready. Loving yourself and enjoying your body is ok.

Parents please take care of your girls so they don’t have to deal with what I did and still am dealing with because doing so will only distance yourself from your child and create gaps in your relationship. Girls are precious we need our moms ❤️❤️ share your stories if you want to..
