What men want

What are guys really looking for? I was basically hanging with a guy for fun. The reason I thought this situation was just fun from my perspective was because every time we hung out, it was just sex. He never took me on a date or showed genuine interest in me. I know this because we never even communicated via text for general conversation. What confuses me is that I take account of all of these clues and don't give him much of the time of day, then he gets mad because I never hit him up or show interest. The biggest point he tried to make was we didn't have sex the first time I came over. I'm not impressed because he did the bare minimum of what he should do anyway. But it's like guys get annoyed when you're too clingy, then when you back up and give them their space, they're mad even though they did nothing to earn more of your attention. Like WTF? Guys really think I'm going to sit there and chase them around.
