What are/were some MUST HAVES?

So I’m a FTM.. I’m not very far along but I want to go ahead and figure out what I need to add on my registry (yes I’ve already started one😫) but I still don’t know all of the “necessities”.. obviously I know the basics (crib, diapers, etc.), but what really helped you get through your first year, what things were your must haves??

Sleep n plays with zippers (easier for nighttime changes than a million snaps or buttons), at least 2 mattress protectors and sets of sheets (put them all on the crib so that if an accident happens at night you can just take one set off and good to go underneath), cloth diapers for spit up, small regular step trash can for diapers, shopping cart cover, rock n play, Nose Frida (gross concept but more effective and sanitary than a bulb that will mold), baby hangers, snap or zip swaddles, Haaka to catch milk from other boob if you plan to breastfeed.

Yay, congrats! One thing that I got this time around that I wish I had gotten with my first was a backpack diaper bag. The one I had before was more of the standard satchel style and it was constantly falling over and spilling out. I am SO excited about having the backpack style this time around! More room and better organization.
