Frustrated... (almost 35 weeks)

Sam

Ok so this is just a vent because I know so many of you other beautiful mamas dont even have the luxury of shirt term leave.

I was diagnosed with gestational hypertension at about 32 weeks and was told by my doctor that he did not want me to go back to work based on lightheadedness and the distance I have to drive.

Our works insurance allows for 6 weeks full pay for short term disability, after which I would have had 2 weeks vacation and ideally would have had baby.

So now our work insurance wants me to go back to work on a 3 days a week, 6 hours a day basis. I'm a little frustrated because I'm already on constant monitoring based on my BP being borderline preeclamptic (not sure if that's a word but you get what I mean), having bad headaches that tylenol only helps for a couple hours (and I've been told I can only take every 6 hours), "fireworks" in my vision randomly (like when you rub your eyes hard and get those weird dots).

I have another appointment Monday with a nonstress test because babies heartbeat was high last time and the hospital wanted them done weekly now.

So I'm hoping to talk to the doctor and let them know that I'm really concerned about going into labor early if I would go back to work. That's what the first doctor who recommended leave said could happen. The downside to the Primary Care System I suppose....

Sorry I feel like I'm complaining but its just hard when you KNOW that something is off and you've been trying to keep yourself calm and relaxed for the health of your baby.
