Sleep help

My baby just turned a year old on 3/26/19, and she still doesn't sleep thru the night. She will wake up and just scream until I go in to hold her. My first baby slept thru the night by 8 weeks, so this is uncharted territory for me. I don't like it, but I am not opposed to some form of crying it out. But I don't know how exactly to go about it, and she has screamed for upwards of 2 hours which I think is excessive. Did anyone have problem sleepers and figure out how to get them to sleep? We all need sleep!!
