Please excuse the Anonymous post but I’m just really looking for some advice and I don’t want to be seen by certain people on here that I do know 😔

KIND OF LONG BUT I APPRECIATE THE ADVICE GOOD OR BAD- I just need some help ladies 😭

So my husband and I have had a “long distance” marriage pretty much the entire time. He travels for work and that is how I met him, while he was working in a diff state. We dated and got married but never have had the opportunity to have that normal living together experience. Hed have weeks off for holiday here and there. He is home only on weekends usually and then back to a different state for work during the whole week, sometimes gone 2-3 weeks at a Time. Well he is finally contracted in a state where he needs to be for a long time and finally we have an opportunity to move and be together everyday. We are looking for a new home in the state we’re moving to. WE ARE FINALLY ABOUT TO SPEND OUR FIRST WEEK IN OUR NEW HOME MOVING IN AND SORTING THROUGH THINGS AND SHOPPING FOR FURNITURE and to me that’s a very sentimental thing I couldn’t wait for! He is taking a week off to settle into the home. Dinner every night together, eating on the floor cuz the furniture wouldn’t be there yet...bla bla bla etc....well MY ISSUE is...he wants to fly his parents and his brother “to help with the move” for a few weeks and I am soooo pissed off at the fact! I feel like he’s robbing me of our first experience of settling into our home together without worrying about him flying out of state back to work! While he is planning on having his family come help, id be the one entertaining while he would be going back to work. Wtf am I supposed to do? While I have unpacking and sorting to worry about, and shopping (because we both agreed on new furniture in the new home) I will now be busy with hosting his family for weeks. I am so pissed also because this is his way of also getting his parents out of the house and they “would love to see us” I feel like he completely did not consider my feelings at all and is trying to get his folks out of their house to come and do “something exciting” while yes we are moving and it’s nothing exciting, his family will be wanting to go out, go sight seeing in a state they’ve never been before and what the fuck am I supposed to do?! Host, unpack, entertain and just be super woman 24/7?!?! Anyway I just wanted to know what you ladies thought because I will be having a talk with my husband soon cuz I am very resentful at this point, but also, am I crazy for this?!

I just feel robbed of my time that I wanted for only us- I know moving is a hassle and we would have friends there that have offered to help move heavy things but to have family fly in and stay with us- that’s just insane to me. I do not want that- I want to see my husband come home every night and marvel in that because we have not had those experiences for YEARS or ever! Is that too much to ask for 😭
