BBT goes up or down?

I have a really stupid question but I am confused. Should my bbt go up or down during ovulation? My window started yesterday but my temp was down this morning. Does that mean anything?

The day of ovulation can be detected by a dip followed by 3 days of higher temps.

The only rule is that your temp should go up and stay up after ovulation. You may or may not have an ovulation dip. Just look for a sustained rise in temps to confirm ovulation

I haven't been tracking for long,  but it sends to stay pretty steady during your fertile week.  It may dip just before ovulation, but you know you've ovulated once you're numbers stay high.  Here's one of my charts-
