Doctor discouraging natural birth

So I’m a FTM and I’m due in July. Today, I had my pre-admission appointment where we talked about birth plan and all that. She asked me if I wanted an epidural which I responded that I would like to go without just because I read over all the risk and I would rather try to do without. She acted like I was crazy and said that I need to consider it and that I need it. I’m not against epidurals by any means, I just would like to try to do without. She also asked about being inducted and I said unless it’s medically necessary or I’m going past term I rather not. Again, I got the look. It just feels like my birth plan isn’t going to work and that I’m crazy for wanting this. I just believe that it’s more easy on the body to just let it do it’s own thing than try and force it. Has anyone else been through this? I just feel discouraged now. TIA
