To be honest, I kind of agree with him.
I’m a woman, but if you are a man and you already work to support your wife and baby and money is tight, there is no additional income being received. Producing milk is free, and to my understanding formula is a little expensive. She can help take some of the costs off the man 🤷🏻‍♀️ What I compared this to, is if my boyfriend and I engage in sexual acts, I pay for my own birth control but since he also engaging in acts, he buys the condoms as well. I just imagine it’s extremely stressful for the male to be paying for everything, and then having your wife say “I don’t feel like breastfeeding anymore. Here’s another bill for you to pay.” I would be a little annoyed too.

That’s dumb. That’s not a family. He sounds like a total selfish shit. He has to accept the fact they are a family that has to support each other no matter what. He could had been like “I can’t afford it at this moment but can you help out by pay for the formula until I get enough money so I can support our baby?” That’s not this difficult to do this as a family.

If money is tight I get his frustration. If she wants to stop breastfeeding I get that too. 
They need to find a compromise that they both are comfortable with. Maybe she can pump instead. 
They need to work together to find a solution.
