(SECONDHAND STUFF) Would you ever use stained baby clothes/blankets etc.?

I’ve been hunting for deals on used stuff for baby but I come across people getting rid of clothes and blankets for cheap or free. But when I go through them, some pieces are stained.. assuming the person washed everything before giving it or selling it, would you consider that ok to use? Or would you throw it out?
Why do people try to sell stained baby clothes?

Kids get messy. And sometimes stuff don’t come out in the wash- I’ve gotten hand me downs and sometimes there’s some stained items- they are good for if you are doing an activity you know kiddo will get messy anyways :  painting projects, crawling around outside , mud puddles, etc.. :)

I’m not a fan of stained baby clothes. I probably wouldn’t use them unless I was going to use a stained blanket as a burp cloth or something that it was going to be used to clean up a mess

Really depends on the stain, most of the baby clothes I have are second hand. I find that little stains around the neck or down the front are fine with me because that’s probably just a food stain.. like prune juice.. or around the knees because that’s probably dirt or grass. 🤷🏻‍♀️ but if it’s a large nasty looking stain on the back or butt that’s a no for me.

I mean I'm not a fan of stains, but I'm pretty good at getting stains out. If the quality is good and the stain is reasonable, then I'd probably get it

I use the stained (to a point) stuff for daycare or messy play outside.

Depends on the size and kind of stain. 🤷 If the piece is in otherwise good condition you could wash it and then dry it in the sun to try to sun-bleach the stain out. I didn't have this problem with second hand clothes, but my own baby has stained some things and this has worked for me getting them out.

Stained, no. Second hand clothes are fine, but I wouldn't want to put stained clothes on my baby. Even hand-me-downs from my own children, I threw away if it had a visible stain I couldn't remove.

I would reuse baby clothes but not if they are stained or trashed looking but I wouldn’t ever use any used bedding items with my son

Not stained items, bottle nipples, or car seats but any other secondhand items are fair game.  I usually threw stained items in a free box at a garage sale and people always snatched them up.
