yeast infection won’t go away

when i first got my yeast infection i never had one before and i thought it was a rash from working out in a thong, but went to the doctor and they said it was a yeast infection. they gave me a pill and a cream, it cleared up for a while but came back very quickly. the first time i was very itchy and it was so it itchy it burned, which is why i thought it was a rash, and there wasn’t a bad odor unless i just got done working out but there was a slight odor, and when my boyfriend went down on me he said something smelled and tasted off. i’ve been having an odor for a while and it’s been much worse than the first time, but there was no itching or redness so i wasn’t sure if it was a yeast infection again and some days were better than others so i didn’t rush t the doctors but eventually did go back and it was a yeast infection again. like i said no itching, just a very strong odor, the doctor said it wasn’t that bad but it is to me. she gave me two pills this time and told me to take a second if it didn’t clear up just with the first one. after i took the first one it was like the smell was even worse and i had discharge that i wasn’t having before, i ended up taking the second one a few days later and still nothing happened. i literally feel like my vagina is always sweating and the smell is not pleasant. the pill the doctor gave me doesn’t seem to be working because they both said 3-5 days and it’s been two weeks since i took the first one. i think part of the reason might be showering in the water at school, i never got a yeast infection before coming to college and whenever i’m on campus my skin also gets really dry and i break out more.
