I have a polyp on my cervix and my doctor said that can cause bleeding. It never did but also your cervix is very sensitive right now and has increased blood flow, so if its irritated at all then it can also cause bleeding or spotting.

I had week long period like bleeding for the first 6 months with my daughter. Some people have bleeding or spotting for no reason. I had a few vaginal ultrasounds and they never harmed or made me bleed worse than I already was.
