When can I stop waking baby to feed?

For the most part she wakes up before the 3 hour mark or right at it, wanting to eat. Sometimes though she is sleeping so soundly and I hate to wake that little cutie up! She’s 1 month old. She’s gained 2 lbs from her birth weight.

As soon as baby is back at birth weight, you don’t need to wake to feed.

As long as baby is gaining well and has gained back all their birth weight it’s perfectly fine to let them sleep during the night.

I never woke to feed.  I always let her tell me when she was hungry.  Rule of thumb though is when they are back up to birth weight.

I was stuck in the hospital for the first 9 days of my son's life so I had to wake him up, but once we got home I stopped waking him up. He always used to wake up by himself once he's hungry

The best bet is to wait for your pediatrician to tell you! They are better equipped to help us make that decision! A lot of factors go into that and it’s not the same for everyone.

As long as your baby is gaining weight there is no reason to wake him/her. I stopped waking my son after 2 weeks. He wanted to sleep 4 hour stretches so I let him.

My daughter was 2 months and 1 week old when she started sleeping through. Even now at 4 months it’s rare for her to wake up in the night. I make sure she’s fed about half hour before bed. In the day she’ll sleep 2-3 hours and wake up herself for a feed but I never let her go more than 4 hours without a feed if she’s sleeping. Just personal preference 🤷🏻‍♀️ my daughter was 8lbs 3 at birth, she was 12lbs 6 at 3 and a half months, not sure If that’s good or not but she’s steadily going up 🙂

Never woke my LO except during days. Granted she never lost more than a few ounces after birth and she has always slept 4-6hour stretches
