Eating too often?

Our daughter still breastfeeds every 2 hours and will be 12 weeks Wednesday. We think she is getting between 3-4 oz each time. Anyone else expediting this? Is she snacking or eating too often? Her weight gain is right on track and she is a happy and content baby! Just curious!

If her weight gain is on track and she’s happy and content then it’s probably fine. My little guy breastfeeds every hour and a half to two hours so that seems normal to me

Mine does this during days and sleeps 4-6 hours at noght

She’s probably fine. My baby eats every hour and a half or less. 4 ounces at 13 weeks. She used to breastfeed that often and my midwife thought she was comfort nursing. I didn’t think so. She’s not a clingy baby. Anyway, started supplementing with formula and she still eats that often a month later with bottles! My pediatrician thinks maybe next month she’ll start spacing out feeds to 2-3 hours. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Hope so!

Are you able to tell when she’s just comfort nursing?? I wonder if some of those times she just want some boob and snuggles so she psychs you out?

Mine is 8 weeks old and exactly the same eats every 2 hours and I think she’s getting around 3oz but weight is on track and she’s happy so ...

My little girl will be 11 weeks tomorrow and she eats every two hours for about 20 minutes. So I feel you. It’s normal. 
Last night was the first night I’ve ever gone more than two hours without having to feed her 🙏🏻
