Requesting early csection??
Okay so a little backstory to explain why I am planning to try to request an early csection..
I went into the hospital about 2 weeks ago having contractions that were 2-4 minutes apart at 32 weeks. I already have problems with my cervix that makes them not dilate or efface on their own which is why I had my last csection so of course after sitting in the hospital all day on the monitor and 2 shots to stop my labor they sent me home.. WELL ended up back in the hospital on 4/7 with the same problem now 34 weeks 3 days, stayed a couple hours got 3 shots to stop my labor that didnt work so I got meds to take every 8 hours and got sent back home because I didnt dilate or have any changes.. ended up BACK in the er on 4/8 at 8 that morning 34 weeks 4 days, contracting AGAIN every 4 minutes. Ended up getting kept overnight got 4 shots, pills every 8 hours and stadol to help me sleep through the night and got discharged this morning after getting shots to improve the babys lungs just in case and being put on strict bed rest. Have to go get my second shot tomorrow morning for her lungs and then be on the monitor for 30 minutes to see if I'm still contracting. I go see my regular ob on 4/11 to get looked at and discuss what to do. They want me to be on bed rest until my scheduled csection at 39 weeks but I know I'm not going to make it. Am I crazy for trying to request a csection at 37 or 38 weeks since I've already started preterm labor at 34 weeks? My l&d nurse told me the goal was 39 but 37 will be fine if I go into labor again. Just looking for advice on the subject.
