My boyfriend and I had sex for both of our first times in July. We both want to do it again, but last time it hurt so bad that we had to stop since I was almost crying. What should I do the next time it happens?

Use lube. More foreplay. It shouldn't hurt any time not just the first time. If you're ever feeling pain, stop immediately. You need to feel safe and relaxed with your partner. And your partner should never try to persuade you if you don't feel comfortable. There may be some discomfort from sex for the first few times but NEVER pain. Lubrication is essential and that comes from the two things that I mentioned: actual store bought lube, and foreplay (which also means trust and comfort with your partner). Communicate what you are feeling, you should never suffer just because you think there's no other way. I know from experience that there is and it is so much better.
