Orgasams or lack there of

At 20 years old, I have never orgasmed before either from sex or masturbation. I’ve been trying with masturbation but have been unsuccessful. I get really close; I tremble and tense up, but then it stops. I don’t know how to get myself to push through to climax.

Is that normal? What happens really doesn’t feel like an orgasm, and everything I’ve read says I’ll know when it happens.
